Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Haokang Wei spent several years practicing as a Physician Assistant in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, and urgent care, gaining extensive experience managing high-acuity patients and performing a broad range of procedures.
Dr. Wei’s clinical expertise includes prostate artery embolization (PAE), genicular artery embolization (GAE), uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), musculoskeletal embolization, organ-directed embolization therapies, percutaneous ablation, venous and arterial interventions, dialysis access management, and image-guided biopsy and drainage.
An active contributor to the field of interventional radiology, Dr. Wei has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations, with work featured in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and presented at national meetings including ISET, RSNA, and the Society of Interventional Oncology. His academic interests include embolization science, device safety, vertebral augmentation, and clinical outcomes research.
Dr. Wei is committed to providing patient-centered, minimally invasive treatment options that promote faster recovery, reduce complications, and improve quality of life. He works closely with patients and referring physicians to deliver personalized, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs.
