The CVAC System

A new standard in kidney stone treatment

The CVAC System is the only minimally invasive treatment designed to help your doctor remove kidney stones more completely in a single procedure. Unlike traditional treatments that can leave behind stone fragments, the CVAC System vacuums them out, reducing the risk of regrowth, additional procedures, urinary blockage, infection, and kidney injury—giving you greater peace of mind.

Why stone removal matters

The goal isn’t simply breaking up kidney stones—it’s removing them. Even tiny stone fragments left behind after treatment can become the starting point for future kidney stones or lead to additional complications, including:

  • Stone regrowth
  • Repeat procedures
  • Urinary blockage
  • Infection
  • Kidney injury

Why Choose the CVAC System?

Unlike traditional laser lithotripsy that often leaves fragments behind to pass naturally, the CVAC System actively removes stone fragments during and after laser treatment.

Benefits include:

How the CVAC System works

STEP 1:

Access the kidney

A tiny camera is guided through the natural urinary tract to locate your kidney stone.

STEP 2:

Break up the stone

A precision laser breaks the stone into small fragments.

STEP 3:

Vacuum out the fragments

The CVAC System continuously removes stone fragments and dust during and after laser treatment, helping achieve a cleaner kidney before the procedure is complete.

What to expect

Before treatment

Your physician will evaluate your kidney stones, review imaging, discuss your treatment options, and provide instructions to prepare for your procedure.

During the procedure

You’ll receive anesthesia or sedation while your physician treats the stone using laser technology and the CVAC System to remove stone fragments.

Recovery

Most patients return home the same day. If a temporary ureteral stent is placed, it will typically be removed during a follow-up visit. Imaging may also be performed to confirm stone clearance.
