New Jersey Urology today announced the opening of two advanced outpatient interventional radiology (IR) centers, expanding access to minimally invasive, image-guided treatments for patients throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.

For decades, New Jersey Urology has been recognized for its leadership, providing high-quality, compassionate urology and cancer care services through more than 20 locations and a network that spans New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania. New Jersey Urology is an affiliate of U.S. Urology Partners, a partner to community-based practices that is backed by General Atlantic.

The new IR centers, developed in partnership with IR Centers® and Prostate Centers USA®, are led by three nationally recognized interventional radiologists: Arun Chockalingam, MD; Gregg Khodorov, MD, MBA; and Haokang Wei, MD.

Dr. Gordon A. Brown, President of New Jersey Urology, stated, “The opening of these interventional radiology centers represents an important step in the continued evolution of New Jersey Urology. Our goal is to provide patients with access to the most advanced and effective treatment options available, while delivering care in the setting that is most convenient for them. By partnering with leading interventional radiologists and expanding access to minimally invasive therapies, we are enhancing our ability to serve patients throughout the region with innovative, coordinated and patient-centered care.”

The new IR Centers will provide advanced embolization therapies and image-guided procedures that may serve as effective alternatives to traditional surgery for conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), chronic pelvic pain, hemorrhoidal disease and musculoskeletal conditions. Patients will benefit from improved access, reduced reliance on hospital-based care and integrated treatment pathways that streamline care from diagnosis through follow-up.

Dr. Chidebelu Ufodike, Chief Operating Officer of New Jersey Urology, stated, “This launch reflects how we want to continue growing at New Jersey Urology, bringing advanced services closer to our patients while making their care journey as seamless as possible. By integrating interventional radiology directly into our clinical network, we can better coordinate referral, consultation, treatment and follow-up, while giving patients access to additional minimally invasive treatment options in a convenient outpatient setting. I am grateful to our physicians, practice teams and IR partners whose collaboration has made this possible.”
